Craft fairs planned for the weekend

Three craft fairs will continue through today. The 13th annual Crafts, Gifts & Collectibles at Bavarian Halle in Fruitland has nearly 100 tables full of holiday decorations, wreaths, crocheted items and other objects. The Bavarian Halle will be open from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. The Christmas Arts & Crafts Extravaganza spreads to two locations, the Show Me Center and Osage Community Centre. From 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. browse tables full of handmade crafts. For the third craft experience head to the River Valley Craft Fair at the Arena Building and Plaza Conference Center from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Educational program on American Indians

The program "Old Wisdom of the Cherokee" will be presented by Linda Vogelsang at 2 p.m. at Trail of Tears State Park visitor center.

Southern Illinois Train Club holds show and sale

The Southern Illinois Train Club will hold a model railroad show and sale at the Benton Civic Center at Benton, Ill., from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Children younger than 12 will be admitted free with an adult paid admission. For more information, call Randy at 984-4474 or visit www.si-trainclub.net.

Cape Shrine Club holds bake sale to benefit Christmas party
