On the Parks Development Foundation board he said he does everything from putting spaghetti on a plate to fundraising or whatever comes along.

His current stint is helping the United Way set up their Christmas displays and monitoring fundraising thermometers.

"I like people, being around them and working with them. Volunteerism is a way of life. You have to be a friend to have friends."
