Did you know the dollar in your pocket is magnetic?

Ingredients

• Neodymium magnet
• U.S. $1 bill

Instructions

STEP 1: Hold the dollar bill steady allowing the money to hang freely from your fingers.

STEP 2: Look for a place on the dollar bill that has a lot of ink and bring the neodymium magnet close to the dollar and observe what happens.

Explanation

The dollar was attracted to the strong magnet because of the ink. To prevent counterfeiting dollar bills are printed with magnetic ink.
