Blankenship - Mayberry

Bruce Blankenship of Cape Girardeau and Linda Tenkhoff of Jackson announce the engagement of their daughter, Wendy Marie Blankenship, to Nicholas Duane Mayberry. He is the son of Mary Knote of Memphis, Tenn., and Mitch Mayberry.

Blankenship is a 2001 graduate of Jackson High School. She received a bachelor of arts degree in elementary education from the University of Mississippi in 2005. She is enrolled in the TESOL master's program at Southeast Missouri State University, and expects to receive a degree in 2010. She is employed at Southeast as a prevention specialist working with a substance abuse prevention grant, and is also teaching English as a second language part time.

Mayberry is a 2004 graduate of Central High School. He expects to receive a bachelor of arts degree in anthropology from Southeast in 2010.

A May 29 wedding is planned at La Croix United Methodist Church.
