Poovey - Duncan

John and Judy Poovey of Loveland, Colo., announce the engagement of their daughter, Diana Poovey, to Kyle Duncan, both of Cape Girardeau. He is the son of Willy and Barb Duncan of Camanche, Iowa, and Ruth and Bill Cooper of Chesterfield, Mo.

Poovey received a degree in dietetics from Southeast Missouri State University, and a graduate degree in nutrition at Southern Illinois University-Carbondale. She is a nutrition instructor in the Human Environmental Studies Department at Southeast.

Duncan received a degree in criminal justice from Southeast. He is a deputy with Cape Girardeau County Sheriff's Department.

A May 9 wedding is planned at Grace United Methodist Church in Cape Girardeau.
