Jeff and Debbie Landgraf of Cape Girardeau announce the engagement of their daughter, Jessica Leigh Birk, to Brian Matthew Randolph. He is the son of Barry and Brenda Randolph of Marshall, Mo.

Birk is a 2002 graduate of Jackson High School. She received a bachelor of science degree in physical education from Southeast Missouri State University in 2008. She teaches physical education at Chaffee Elementary School, and coaches basketball and track at Chaffee junior and high schools.

Randolph is a 2002 graduate of Jackson High School. He served in the U.S. Army from 2002 to 2005, including a tour in Afghanistan. He received a bachelor of science degree in biology from Southeast in 2009. He is employed at Ram Power Environmental.

An Aug. 8 wedding is planned at First Presbyterian Church in Jackson.
