Roy and Barbara Beel of Jackson announce the engagement of their daughter, Robyn Jean Beel, to Shaun Michael Potts, both of Cape Girardeau. He is the son of Michael and Pamela Potts of Troy, Mo.

Beel received a bachelor of science degree in public relations from Southeast Missouri State University. She is employed at Elite Travel and Cruise.

Potts received a bachelor's degree in general studies from Southeast. He is employed with Manpower.

A July 4 wedding is planned at St. Mary's Cathedral in Cape Girardeau.
