Louise St. John of Jackson announces the engagement of her daughter, Kimberli Jo Fisher, to Shawn Paul Taylor. He is the son of Paul and Sally Taylor of Cape Girardeau.

Fisher attended Cape Girardeau Career and Technology Center for respiratory therapy, and Southeast Missouri State University. She is a registered respiratory therapist at Jefferson Regional Medical Center in Festus, Mo.

Taylor attended the technology center for respiratory therapy, and the University of Missouri-Columbia. He is a certified respiratory therapist at Jefferson Regional Medical Center.

A Sept. 12 wedding is planned at Emanuel United Church of Christ in Jackson.
