Taylor Bauknecht from Girl Scout Troop 143, of Jackson, completed the hopscotch pattern for the United Way Born Learning Trail at the new Tot Land in the Jackson City Park. Taylor,13. completed the project for children ages 6 and under to be able to interact at the park. The whole operation took one afternoonand she was very glad to help. The Tot Land was just added to Jackson's park this year and the hopscotch pattern was in June. Taylor say that she is glad that the younger kids have somewhere to play now so that they don't get trampled by the bigger kids. She has done many other service projects and is happy that she can help. Her mom, who is her leader, says she has been in girl scouts for seven years and still invovled as she follows the steps of her big sister who is also a girl scout. Pictured is Taylor and her mother Bard Bauknecht.
