The Heartland Pops Chorus Concert has added more acts to its fall concert Sept. 20, in Jackson.

The concert originally promoted the Punches Family, but will now feature local band Whitewater Bluegrass. Also performig will be Little Miss Missouri, Jenny Mae Duncan and guest performers are the Dance Extensions Studio Dancers.

The chorus will perform a variety of Broadway, Patriotic, 50's Doo-Wop, Gospel and Barbershop Quartet music. Tickets for the concert at 2:15 p.m. at Crossroads Fellowship Church in Jackson are $7 each and can be purchased at the doors which open at 1:30 or by calling 243-3367.

The Heartland Pops Director Jerry Ganiel said this concert is a preview in addition to their annual Christmas concert, for which they are recruiting new singers.

The group needs a few more tenors, basses and first sopranos for its Christmas show at 7:15 p.m. Dec. 7 at Academic Hall. Altos and second sopranos are also invited. Contact director Jerry Ganiel at 579-6127 for rehearsal times.
