Joe and Vicki Rodriguez of Cape Girardeau announce the engagement of their daughter, Sara Dawn Rodriguez, to George Calvin Trout IV. He is the son of George and Deloris Trout III of Charleston, Miss.

Rodriguez is a 1997 graduate of Central High School. She received a bachelor of science degree in health management from Southeast Missouri State University in 2002, and expects to receive a master's degree in health promotion from the University of Mississippi-Oxford in December. She is assistant to the drug and alcohol educator at the university.

Trout is a 1996 graduate of Strider Academy in Charleston. He received a bachelor of arts degree in history and a master's degree in journalism from the university in 2004. He is employed by Trout Valley Farms in Charleston.

A June 11 wedding is planned at First United Methodist Church in Charleston.
