LEOPOLD, Mo. -- Robert and Annabel Engelen of Leopold announce the engagement of their daughter, Deanna Marie Engelen, to Christopher Domnic Brown, both of Whitewater. He is the son of Kenneth and Mary Jane Brown of Marble Hill, Mo.

Engelen is a 2002 graduate of Leopold High School. She received an associate's degree in general studies from Mineral Area College in 2004. She is employed at Southeast Missouri Hospital.

Brown is a 1997 graduate of Jackson High School, and a 1998 graduate of Nashville Auto Diesel College. He is employed at McDonald Concrete of Cape Girardeau.

A May 28 wedding is planned at St. John's Catholic Church in Leopold.
