Ostendorf - Simmons

Richard and Tammy Ostendorf of Cape Girardeau announce the engagement of their daughter, Whitney Susanne Ostendorf, to Trey James David Simmons III. He is the son of James and Mary Simmons of Benton, Mo.

Ostendorf is a 2005 graduate of Notre Dame Regional High School. She received a bachelor of science degree in dietetics. She will begin a dietetic internship and graduate school in August. She is employed at Special Design Health Care.

Simmons is a 2004 graduate of Kelly High School, and is pursuing a degree in horticulture at Southeast Missouri State University. He is employed at Cape Municipal Jaycee Golf Course, and is Kelly High School girls assistant basketball coach.

A Sept. 18 wedding is planned at St. Denis Catholic Church in Benton.
