On June 6, 2006, Amy Reinagel from Kelso participated in the Inaugural Navy Ten Nautical Miler at the Naval Support Activity Mid-Southe in Millington, TN. It was the first and only race of its kind; no other foot race has been based on nautical miles before. Reinagel completed the run in 2:06 finishing 12th in her age division and 207 overall.
