Scholarships

The following students received scholarships from Southeast Missouri State University for the 2010-2011 academic year:

* Hannah Deevers of Cape Girardeau received a Missouri Assessment Program Scholarship

* Kelsey Blue of Chaffee, Mo., received a Dual Enrollment Scholarship.

* Kollin Groves of St. Charles, Mo., received a Student of Acheivement Scholarship.

Honors, Achievements

* Amy Beel of Leopold, Mo., was named to the spring semester dean's list at Loyola University in Chicago.

* Hannah Lewis of Cape Girardeau graduated from William Jewell College in Liberty, Mo., with honors in chemistry.

* Paige Foley and Chase Tobin of Cape Girardeau were named to the spring semester dean's list at Baylor University in Waco, Texas.

* Brianna LeGrand of Cape Girardeau graduated magna cum laude with a bachelor of science degree in sports science from Rockhurst University in Kansas City, Mo.

* Paige Fowler, Jared Green, Molly Proffer, Kaitlyn Scheeter, and Paige Schumer of Cape Girardeau and Tara Johnson of Scott City were named to the spring semester dean's list at Maryville University in St. Louis.

* Mark Himmelberg, Theresa Kiblinger and Brianna LeGrand of Cape Girardeau and Edward Doyle of Chaffee, Mo., were named to the spring semester dean's list at Rockhurst Univerity in Kansas City, Mo.

* Tyson Koenig of Perryville, Mo., graduated valedictorian with a bachelor of arts degree in history from Truman State University in Kirksville, Mo. Koenig also completed Truman's Honors Scholar Program. He plans to attend graduate school at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, Mich.

The following students were named to the spring semester dean's list at Three Rivers Community College in Poplar Bluff, Mo.:

* Casey Reeves and Caitlin Yeargain of Cape Girardeau; Kristen Little and Sarah Reischman of Chaffee, Mo.; Ashley Bailey, Leslie Karr and Jasmine Tilley of Oran, Mo.; and Megan Johnson of Scott City.

* Thomas Keener of Cape Girardeau graduated from the St. Louis County Police Academy. Keener, a 2006 graduate of Central High School, was one of 34 recruits to graduate from the 25-week training program. He has been hired by the St. Louis County Police Department to serve in the North County Precinct No. 1. In May, Keener also graduated magna cum laude from Lindenwood University in St. Charles, Mo., with a bachelor of science in criminal justice.

* Jonathan Lynch of Notre Dame Regional High School attended the Missouri Leadership Seminar at the University of Central Missouri in Warrensburg, Mo., with more than 150 Missouri high school students.
