McCLURE, Ill. -- Paul and Carla Janik of Orland Park, Ill., announce the engagement of their daughter, Jessica Janik, to Greg Barker, both of Creve Coeur, Mo. He is the son of Carla Barker of McClure and Rex Barker of McClure.

Janik received a master's degree in nutrition and physical performance from St. Louis University in 2009. She is director of nutrition at Lifetime Fitness in Ellisville, Mo.

Barker received a degree in sports medicine from Southeast Missouri State University in 2001. He is taking classes that will make him eligible for an MBA program in spring 2011. He is operations manager at NutriFormance health club in Frontenac, Mo.

A Nov. 13 wedding is planned in Orland Park.
