Whole-hog supper planned

The St. John's United Church will hold a whole hog pork sausage supper from 4 to 8 p.m. Saturday at the church 2 1/2 miles west of Fruitland on Route FF. Adult meal is $8 children 6 to 12 are $4.

Start Smart Soccer at Arena Park

Arena Park in Cape Girardeau will host the Start Smart Soccer program from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. Wednesday. The Start Smart Program is a developmentally appropriate introductory soccer program for children 3 to 5 years old. The program prepares children for organized soccer in a fun non-threatening environment. Age-appropriate soccer equipment is used to teach kicking, dribbling, trapping, throw-ins and agility. Cost is $30 per child and includes a T-shirt. For more information, call 334-2523.

Church has free yard sale

The First Baptist Church at Millersville will hold a free yard sale from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday. There will be a 10-item limit per person until the yard sale closes, then people may take what they want. Items featured include clothing, toys, appliances, vacuum cleaners, speakers, tiki torches and other items. Face painting, hot dogs and drinks will be available.
