Recently the McDonald's on Williams Street in Cape Girardeau teamed up with The Boys and Girls Club in Cape Girardeau for a fundraising night in which 25 percent of all sales between 4 and 8 p.m. were donated to the club. The Boys and Girls Club will use the proceeds to provide healthy snacks for students who take part in its after-school programs. The event raised $559. Wayne Wallingford, McDonald's chief people officer, presented the check to Boys and Girls Club area supervisor Cheryl Farrow and executive director Teresa Teague.
