Vaughn and Toni Scheeter of Cape Girardeau announce the engagement of their daughter, Kaitlyn Leigh Scheeter, to Marcus William Vanden Heuvel, both of Chesterfield, Mo. Vaughn and Toni Scheeter of Cape Girardeau announce the engagement of their daughter, Kaitlyn Leigh Scheeter, to Marcus William Vanden Heuvel, both of Chesterfield, Mo. He is the son of William and Christine Vanden Heuvel of Kaukauna, Wis.

Scheeter is a 2006 graduate of Notre Dame Regional High School. She received a bachelor of science degree in nursing from Maryville University of St. Louis in 2010.

Vanden Heuvel is a 2005 graduate of Kaukauna High School. He received a bachelor of science degree in legal studies from Maryville University in 2009.

A May 28 wedding is planned at St. Mary's Cathedral in Cape Girardeau.
