Probst - Gowin

OLIVE BRANCH, Ill. -- Terry Thomas of Miller City, Ill., and Machelle Probst of Olive Branch announce the engagement of their daughter, Ashley "Nikki" Probst, to Erik "Zach" Gowin, both of Carbondale, Ill. He is the son of Bret Gowin of Olive Branch and Tamara George of Marion, Ill.

Probst is a 2005 graduate of Shawnee High School in Wolf Lake, Ill. She expects to receive a degree in practical nursing from Shawnee Community College in May. She is a pharmacy technician at Walgreen's.

Gowin is a 2005 graduate of Egyptian High School in Tamms, Ill. He received a bachelor's degree in philosophy and criminal justice from Southeast Missouri State University in 2009. He expects to graduate from Southern Illinois University School of Law in 2012. He is a law clerk with the law office of Susan Burger in Jonesboro, Ill.

A May 28 wedding is planned at Great Boars of Fire in Anna, Ill.
