Three Cape Girardeau Central High School students have joined the rare ranks of National Merit Scholars.
Lessley Dennington, Blake Kidd and Noor Wadi recently were selected as scholars by the National Merit Scholarship Corporation. The students were selected as National Merit Semifinalists last fall.

The following students received scholarships to attend Southeast Missouri State University:

* Brooke R. Seyer of Chaffee, Mo., received the President's Scholarship for 2011-2012.
* Benjamin M. Matthews of Cape Girardeau received the Regent's Scholarship for 2011-2012.
* Coty M. Gustafson of McClure, Ill., received the Regional Achievement Award and University Scholarship for 2011-2012.
* Austin L. Koenig of Jackson received the Regent's Scholarship for 2011-2012.
