The Cape Girardeau Police Department released the following items. Arrests do not imply guilt.

DWI

* Robert D. Kelley, no age given, 1500 Stoddard St., received a summons on suspicion of driving while intoxicated, following too closely and striking a legally stopped vehicle.

Arrests

* A suspect was in custody pending formal charges of fraudulently attempting to obtain a controlled substance.

* A suspect was in custody pending formal charges of possession of a controlled substance.

* Suspects were in custody pending formal charges of damage to jail property and attempting to deliver items prohibited at a correctional facility.

* Charles J. Tauser, 53, 325 N. Sprigg St., was arrested on a Cape Girardeau County warrant for failure to appear.

* A suspect was in custody pending charges of stealing at Walmart, 3439 William St.

* A suspect was in custody pending charges of assault, receiving stolen property, resisting arrest and unlawful use of a weapon.

* Samantha R. Farrow, 20, of Millersville received a summons for property damage.

* Robert J. Lord, 30, of Chaffee, Mo., received a summons for having no insurance.

Thefts

* A makeup bag and medication were reported stolen.

* A purse was reported stolen at 1003 Perry Ave.

* A computer, speakers, a PlayStation 3 and games were reported stolen at 607 Locust St.

Property damage

* A vehicle was reported damaged at 1556 N. Water St.

* Property damage was reported at 406 Sheridan Drive.

Miscellaneous

* O'Reilly Auto Parts, 370 N. Kingshighway, reported a counterfeit $100 bill.

* A 32-year-old woman was placed in protective custody.
