Scott Cummings and Carol Cummings of Jefferson City, Mo., announce the engagement of their daughter, Stacy Cummings, to Chris Kuykendall, both of Cape Girardeau. He is the son of Jeff Hart and Kathy Kuykendall of East Prairie, Mo.

Cummings is a 2003 graduate of Helias High School in Jefferson City. She received a bachelor of science degree in nursing from Southeast Missouri State University in 2007. She is a registered nurse at Southeast Hospital NICU.

Kuykendall is a 2003 graduate of East Prairie High School. He received a bachelor of science degree in business administration from Southeast in 2007. He is account manager with Maxim Healthcare Services.

A Sept. 17 wedding is planned at St. Mary's Cathedral.
