* Dustin Schroeder of Jackson received a Missouri Concrete Association scholarship for the spring 2012 semester at Southeast Missouri State University.

HONORS, ACHIEVEMENTS

* Scott Dunaway of Cape Girardeau was named to the dean's list at the end of the summer trimester at Logan College of Chiropractic in Chesterfield, Mo.

* Kelly Jahn of Jackson, daughter of Susan Jahn of Cape Girardeau County, competed for the title of Missouri Farm Bureau ambassador during the organization's annual meeting Dec. 4 at Lake of the Ozarks.

* Vance Phillip Toole of Cape Girardeau Central High School, son of Adrian and Jamie Toole, participated in the American Legion Boys State of Missouri in June at the University of Central Missouri-Warrensburg.
