Bonnie LeMay and Jeff Miller of Scott City announce the engagement of their daughter, Melissa Miller, to Garrett Baker, both of San Antonio, Texas. He is the son of Sheri Holmes of Oran, Mo., and Jeff Baker of Cape Girardeau.

Miller is a 2005 graduate of Scott City High School. She received bachelor and master degrees in communication disorders from Southeast Missouri State University. She is a speech pathologist at Autism Treatment Center in San Antonio.

Baker is a 2005 graduate of Oran High School. He is employed by Drury Southwest in San Antonio.

A June 23 wedding is planned in Cape Girardeau.
