Midwest Neurosurgeons sponsoring Relay for Life

Midwest Neurosurgeons is sponsoring the Cape Girardeau American Cancer Society's Relay for Life for the third year in a row. The 2012 theme for the event is movies, inspiring Midwest Neurosurgeons' team name "Dr. Fonn and the Sundance Kids," a play on the popular Western film. Relay for Life is at 5 p.m. April 28 at the Arena Building in Cape Girardeau. American Cancer Society sponsorship co-chairwoman Crystal Burress, sponsorship co-chairwoman Christy Bock and community manager of income Kelli Schenimann receive a sponsorship check for $2,500 from Dr. Sonjay Joseph Fonn of Midwest Neurosurgeons LLC.

SoutheastHEALTH Auxiliary donates to cancer center

SoutheastHEALTH Auxiliary donated $40,000 toward the garden project at the Southeast Cancer Center. The auxiliary made the donation at its annual luncheon Jan. 19 at Southeast Hospital.
