Ray and Kim Allgier of Fredericktown, Mo., announce the engagement of their daughter, Amber Allgier, to Jimmy McCormack, both of Jackson. He is the son of Dennis and Shirley McCormack of Jackson.

Allgier is a 2002 graduate of Fredericktown High School. She received an associate of science degree from Mineral Area College School of Radiologic Technology in 2006. She is a special procedures radiologic technologist at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.

McCormack is a 2003 graduate of Jackson High School. He received a bachelor's degree from the University of Missouri in 2007, and a master's degree from Southeast Missouri State University in 2012. He is an agriculture teacher at Jackson High School.

A June 15 wedding is planned at Emanuel United Church of Christ in Jackson.
