Menards of Cape Girardeau is holding a pet supply drive in honor of National Pet Month. Participants may drop off new pet supply items at Menards during business hours through May 31. The drive will benefit area animal not-for-profit organizations.

United Way to hold annual golf tournament

The annual United Way Golf Tournament is scheduled for 11 a.m. June 7 at Kimbeland Country Club in Jackson. The tournament is a four person scramble and will feature door prizes, contests, 50/50 raffle, lunch and more. Registration is $100 before May 24 and $125 after. Prodigy Leadership Academy is holding a family carnival and barbecue fundraiser from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at Red Star Baptist Church, 1301 N. Main St., Cape Girardeau. The carnival will feature music, games, a Nature Center Conservation Booth, food, activities and more. Leukemia educational program set for May 20

Southeast Cancer Center is holding a free educational and supportive program for people with Leukemia, multiple myeloma, lymphoma and their caregivers from 5 to 6 p.m. May 23 at 789 S. Mount Auburn Road in Cape Girardeau. The program will discuss cancer-related fatigue and the role of rehabilitation during and after treatment. Light refreshments will be served.
