Louis and Barbara Hagler of Cape Girardeau announce the engagement of their daughter, Cheryl Hagler, to Jason Hartke of Anna, Ill. He is the son of Harold and Mary Beth Hartke of Teutopolis, Ill.

Hagler is a 2006 graduate of Central High School. She received a bachelor of science degree in elementary education from Southern Illinois University-Carbondale in 2010. She is a teacher at St. Vincent de Paul School.

Hartke is a 2004 graduate of Teutopolis High School. He received a bachelor of science degree in finance from SIU-C in 2009. He is area tech for the U.S. Department of Agriculture Rural Development in Marion, Ill.

A June 15 wedding is planned at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church.
