Awards/achievements and scholarships

The following students have been awarded scholarships to attend Southeast Missouri State University for the 2013-2014 academic year:

* Hannah Hess of Chaffee, Mo., received the Regents' Scholarship. She is the daughter of Bradley and Sarah Hess of Chaffee and will graduate from Eagle Ridge Christian School in Cape Girardeau.

* Brandon Rhodes of Marble Hill, Mo., received the University Scholarship. He is the son of Kenny and Mekesha Rhodes of Marble Hill and will graduate from Woodland High School.

* Kaitlin Northern of Zalma, Mo., received the University Scholarship and Residence Life Leadership Award. She will graduate from Zalma High School.

* Austin Sitze of Zalma, Mo., received the University Scholarship and Residence Life Leadership Award. He will graduate from Zalma High School.

* Lori VanGennip of Zalma, Mo., received the Residence Life Leadership Award. She will graduate from Zalma High School.

Rogers earns scholarships

Savannah Rogers of Zalma, Mo., received the Provost Scholarship at Missouri State University, the President's Scholarship at Culver-Stockton College, the Residence Life Leadership award at Southeast Missouri State University, the Puxico, Mo., VFW scholarship and the Security Bank and Trust Scholarship. She will graduate from Zalma High School.

Ware earns scholarships

Jenny Ware of Zalma, Mo., earned the President's Scholarship at Culver-Stockton College, a cross country scholarship, a theater scholarship and the Tiffany Dannenmueller Memorial Scholarship.

Siebert named to dean's list

Mallory Siebert of Scott City was named to the dean's list at Williams Baptist College in Walnut Ridge, Ark., for the 2013 spring semester. Siebert maintained a minimum grade-point average of 3.5.
