Niswonger - Francis

John and Lisa Niswonger of Cape Girardeau announce the engagement of their daughter, Kali Niswonger, to Chris Francis, both of Sherwood, Ark. He is the son of Michael Francis of West Plains, Mo., and Jennifer Bailey of Thayer, Mo.

Kali received a medical doctorate from the University of Missouri-Kansas City in 2011. She is completing pediatric residency at Arkansas Children's Hospital in Little Rock.

Chris is a 2005 graduate of West Plains High School. He has been an aircraft structural craftsman in the U.S. Air Force eight years, and is stationed at Little Rock Air Force Base.

An April 2014 wedding is planned at Water's Edge in Gordonville.
