CAPE GIRARDEAU

The Cape Girardeau Police Department released the following items. Arrests do not imply guilt.

Arrest

* Brett M. Diefenbach, 27, 1927 Kingshighway, No. 29, was arrested on a Cape Girardeau warrant for failure to appear for property damage.

DWI

* Michael H. Smith, 34, 114 Rivercrest Drive, was arrested on suspicion of driving while intoxicated, driving while revoked and failure to have two lighted headlamps.

Summonses

* Lincoln B. Hunter, no age given, of New Madrid, Mo., was issued a summons for following too close.

* Kamal A. Patel, no age given, of Morton Grove, Ill., was issued a summons for striking a legally stopped vehicle.

* Emily K. Menke, no age given, 1105 N. West End Blvd., was issued a summons for failure to yield.

Property damage

* A front door was reported damaged at 321 S. Ellis St.

Thefts

* Theft of a pistol was reported at 617 North St.

* Theft of a ring was reported at 221 S. Sprigg St.

Burglary

* Burglary, theft and property damage were reported at 1122 S. Ranney Ave.

Miscellaneous

* An animal bite was reported.

* Child abuse was reported.
