The Cape Girardeau Police Department released the following items. Arrests do no imply guilt.

DWI

* Tony Shirrell Smith, 38, 1215 College St., was arrested on suspicion of driving while intoxicated and nonfunctioning taillight.

Arrests

* Mark D. Lincoln, 38, of Cape Girardeau was arrested on a Cape Girardeau County warrant for failure to appear.

* Maura N. Peters, no age given, of Cape Girardeau was arrested on suspicion of stealing at Wal-Mart.

* Allyson H. Stafford, no age given, of Malden, Mo., was arrested on suspicion of stealing at Wal-Mart.

* Darieth J. Nunley, 21, of Cape Girardeau was arrested on suspicion of improper registration and possession of marijuana.

* Richard Estle Volkerding, 33, 1818 Benjamin Court, was arrested on suspicion of peace disturbance.

* Jack Thomas Volkerding, 30, 1530 Oak Lei Drive, was arrested on suspicion of peace disturbance.

Assault

* Domestic assault was reported.

Thefts

* Theft of a knife was reported at 321 Broadview St.

* A license plate was reported stolen at 3049 William St.

* Wal-Mart, 3439 William St., reported clothing stolen.

Miscellaneous

* A 31-year-old man was taken into protective custody.

* Forgery was reported.
