Moreton - Marks

Nancy and John Moreton of Cape Girardeau announce the engagement of their daughter, Catherine Elizabeth Moreton of Nashville, Tennessee, to William Thomas Marks of Columbus, Ohio. He is the son of Dennis and Jenna Marks of Statesville, North Carolina, and Kathryn Hallak of Charlotte, North Carolina.

Catherine is a 2006 graduate of Central High School and graduated in 2010 with a bachelor of arts degree in drama and a minor in education studies and English from Washington University in St. Louis. She expects to receive a juris doctorate in May 2015 from Vanderbilt University in Nashville.

William is 2005 graduate of Providence Day School in Charlotte, graduated magna cum laude in 2009 from Georgetown University with a bachelor's degree in government, and received a juris doctorate in 2014 from Vanderbilt. He is a law clerk to Judge Jeffrey Sutton on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit in Columbus.

A Feb. 28 wedding is planned in St. Louis.
