Sparzynski -- Smith

George and Sharon Sparzynski of Jackson announce the engagement of their daughter, Emily Sparzynski, to Danny Smith of Cape Girardeau. He is the son of Lonnie and Machel Smith of Trumann, Arkansas.

Emily graduated from Jackson High School in 2005 and received a bachelor's degree in social work from Southeast Missouri State University in 2009. She is an assistant ombudsman at Aging Matters.

Danny graduated from Trumann High School in 2003. He served six years in the Air Force. He attended Wyotech Automotive in 2013. He is a certified automotive technician at Raben Tire.

An October wedding is planned at the Glenn House.
