Ronnie and Rhonda Hurst of Oran, Missouri, announce the engagement of their daughter, Amanda Nicole Hurst, to Johnathan James Graviett of Oran. He is the son of Kathie Snider of Chaffee, Missouri, and the late James Don Graviett.

Amanda is a graduate of Oran High School and received an Associate of Applied Science degree in billing and coding from Metro Business College. She works at Community Counseling Center in Cape Girardeau.

Johnathan is a graduate of Oran High School. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps for four years after high school. He works at Viking-Cives Midwest in Morley, Missouri.

An Aug. 27 wedding is planned at St. Lawrence Parish in New Hamburg, Missouri, with a reception to follow at the Knights of Columbus Hall in Oran.
