ENGAGEMENTS: PIRCH-MATYSIK

Jane Raines of Cape Girardeau and Garry Pirch of Theodosia, Mo., announce the engagement of their daughter, Gina Elizabeth Pirch, to Brian Thomas Matysik. He is the son of Thomas and Janet Matysik of Swansea, Ill.

Pirch is a 1998 graduate of Central High School. She expects to receive a bachelor's degree in social services from Southeast Missouri State University in December 2002. She is employed at the Lutheran Home.

Matysik is a 1997 graduate of Altolff Catholic High School. He expects to receive a bachelor's degree in advertising from Southeast University in December 2001. He is employed at Enterprise Rent-A-Car.

A Nov. 17 wedding is planned at St. Mary's Cathedral.
