Charles and Dorothy Schmitt of Leopold have announced the engagement of their daughter, Joann Rebekah Schmitt, to Daniel Bradley James. He is the son of Jimmy W. James of Scopus and Margaret McClard of Shawneetown. Schmitt is a 1992 graduate of Delta High School, and is majoring in business at Southeast Missouri State University.
