JACKSON -- Evelyn Oxley of Jackson has announced the engagement of her daughter, Heather Nicole Oxley, to Joseph Andrew Grojean, both of Cape Girardeau. He is the son of Faye and Scottie Powell of Cape Girardeau and Dale and Donna Fort of Paragould, Ark. Oxley is also the daughter of the late Terry Oxley.

Oxley is a 1995 graduate of Jackson High School. She is employed in the fine jewelry department at K's Merchandise.

Grojean is a 1993 graduate of Sikeston High School. He is a supervisor at Pizza Inn in Sikeston.

A May 20 wedding is planned at Missouri Botanical Gardens.
