ENGAGEMENTS: SCHWENDEMANN-SPURLOCK

SIKESTON -- Robert and Ann Schwendemann of Portageville announce the engagement of their daughter, Christine Marie Schwendemann, to Dean Alan Spurlock. He is the son of Leonard and Mary Ann Spurlock of Sikeston.

Schwendemann is a graduate of Portageville High School. She received a bachelor of science degree in secondary education from Southeast Missouri State University in 1992. She is a business/vocational teacher with Portageville School District.

Spurlock is a graduate of Scott County Central High School. He is a truck sales executive at Truck Centers Inc. in Sikeston.

An Oct. 7 wedding is planned at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Sikeston.
