WHITEWATER -- Ron and Sandra Cook of Whitewater announce the engagement of their daughter, Sherry Jeannine Cook, to Michael Dean Ford. He is the son of Elmer and Sherry Ford of Cape Girardeau. WHITEWATER -- Ron and Sandra Cook of Whitewater announce the engagement of their daughter, Sherry Jeannine Cook, to Michael Dean Ford. He is the son of Elmer and Sherry Ford of Cape Girardeau.

Cook is a 1995 graduate of Jackson High School. She received a bachelor of science degree in elementary education from Southeast Missouri State University in 1999. She is a sixth grade teacher at Scott City Middle School in Scott City.

Ford is a 1995 graduate of Central High School. He received a bachelor of science degree in criminal justice from Southeast University in 1999. He is employed at Fastenal Co. in Cape Girardeau.

A July 8 wedding is planned at First Baptist Church in Jackson.
