Mr. and Mrs. Nelson Roth of Frohna announce the engagement of their daughter, Barbara Lynette Roth, to Virgil Duane Theiss, both of Cape Girardeau. He is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Paul Theiss of Uniontown.

Roth is a graduate of Perryville High School. She is employed at Lowes and Drusch law firm.

An Aug. 19 wedding is planned at Concordia Lutheran Church in Frohna.
