Kendra Gross grew up attending garage sales with her grandmother, and it spawned a passion that would last for decades. In July, she opened a store dedicated to selling them, Relove Goods, at 532 W. Main St. in Jackson.

“I’ve been doing this my whole life. I love finding interesting things,” she said.

After she gave birth in the fall of 2023, Gross began selling items online with the extra time she had.

“It kept brewing in the back of my mind: I’d really like to make this more of a community thing. Everything has become online, so I really would in some way like to become part of the community,” she said.

Relove is set up in Inspire Craft & Gift Boutique as one of several featured small businesses. It sells tableware, lamps, furnishings, trinkets, books and a variety of other items. For Gross, a photographer by trade, it is the first business of its kind she has managed.

She sells curated vintage goods at the store and adds new items regularly, keeping an open mind for what customers suggest. She peruses garage sales, estate sales, thrift stores and online auctions for new goods, adding whatever she thinks people could find useful.

“I’m always looking for special items that you can find and love,” Gross said. “… I’m here not for myself, I’m here to get people in touch with what they want, what they’re looking for.”

Relove Goods is open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Wednesday to Friday and 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday.
