At first, I thought that Rush Hour 2 would be more of a traffic ticket than "the second rush." I laughed myself silly through the original hit Rush Hour, but I couldn't see how they could expand it anymore. Once the lights dimmed and the movie started, however, I found that Jackie Chan can still kick butt and Chris Tucker can still talk trash. I found this movie very entertaining and hilarious, with some intense fight scenes as well. Rush Hour 2 is rated PG-13 for action, violence, language and some sexual material.

Rush Hour 2 starts up with a terrorist bombing in the U.S. Embassy in China. The party responsible is a deadly counterfeiting gang. Inspector Lee (Jackie Chan) is showing Detective Carter (Chris Tucker) around Hong Kong. Lee takes the case to stop the gang and avenge his fathers' death. They encounter the gang leader (John Lone) and his assistant ( Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon's Zhang Ziyi). One of the interesting parts of the two movies is that the LA PD and the Secret Service never want Lee and Carter's help after they saved the Chinese Councilman's daughter in the first movie. Rush Hour 2 delivers as big a punch as the first, which is hard to do in the movie industry. Anyone going to see the movie had better see the first, otherwise the jokes will make no sense. The end even hints at a Rush Hour 3. All in all, this movie is one of the summer's best. I highly recommend anyone who enjoys action and comedy to see this movie.
