Kraatz-Murphy

OLIVE BRANCH, Ill. -- Joe and Wilma Kraatz of Olive Branch announce the engagement of their daughter, Shannon Jo Kraatz of St. Louis, to Brian Patrick Murphy. He is the son of Daniel and Barbara Murphy of Manchester, Mo.

Kraatz is a 1993 graduate of St. Mary's High School in Paducah, Ky. She received a bachelor of science degree in middle school education from Southwest Missouri State University in Springfield in 1998. She is a seventh grade math teacher with Rockwood School District at LaSalle Springs Middle School in Wildwood, Mo.

Murphy is a 1994 graduate of DeSmet Jesuit High School in Creve Coeur, Mo. He received a bachelor of science degree in biology in 1998 and a master's degree in physical therapy in 2000 from Rockhurst University in Kansas City, Mo. He is employed at Concentra Medical Center in Maryland Heights, Mo.

A July wedding is planned at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Manchester.
