MCCLURE, Ill. -- Dennis Taylor and Cynthia Taylor of McClure announce the engagement of their daughter, Candace Renee Taylor, to Raymond Charles Halter. He is the son of Bill and Rose Halter of Benton, Mo.

Taylor is a 1997 graduate of Shawnee High School, and a 1998 graduate of Stage One the Hair School. She is employed at Great Clips for Hair in Cape Girardeau.

Halter is a 1991 graduate of Kelly High School. He is a process engineer at Dana Corp. in Cape Girardeau.

A Sept. 14 wedding is planned at St. Denis Catholic Church in Benton.
