Girl Scouts do more than just sell cookies. This past week, girls from Cape, Jackson, Sikeston and even one Daisy from Washington state to the Elks Lake for our annual Day Camp. This camp is run completely by volunteers for girls of all ages. It ran Monday through Friday with an overnight on Thursday for the older girls. The girls get to learn and improve skills such as fire building, cooking, canoeing, archery, and fishing. They also do multiple crafts, play games and learn new songs. Once a Girl Scout, always a Girl Scout.
