Lietenant Governor Peter Kinder honored Eloise Moore, RSVP Volunteer since 1973, for her outstanding volunteer services and her dedication for the past 35 years. A ceremony was held on Monday, July 21, 2008, in her honor and Eloise was presented with a Declaration from Lt. Governor Kinder's office as well as a Senior Service Award lapel pin and an invitation for an annual recognition to be held next spring in Jefferson City. Eloise was nominated by Tina Dohogne, Executive Director of the Retired Senior Volunteer Program and the Volunteer Intergenerational Center. Dohogne states, "She is very deserving of this award. Eloise is the last remaining volunteer from 1973 and has continually strived to help her community in some manner. Even though she will be turning 99 years old this coming December, her age is not an obstacle for her. She truly posseses that special quality of giving and continues to express the real spirit of volunteerism."
