[Jefferson City, MO] January 4, 2010 -- David Haymes LUTCF with Haymes Insurance Agency in Nixa has succeeded R. Allen Philips, LUTCF, FIC of Cape Girardeau as president of the Missouri federation of the National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors (NAIFA). Mr. Philips resigned having accepted a position in California with his company, Modern Woodmen of America. David Haymes will serve the remainder of Mr. Philips term and continue for 2010-2011 as scheduled. He is a multi-line agent with American National Property and Casualty Company, serves on the board of the Ozarks Insurance Day and been in the insurance business since 1996

The association supports initiatives to improve coverage thru the Missouri Life & Health Guarantee Association, elimination of pre-existing condition limitations for individuals changing health insurance, limiting Stranger-Owned Life Insurance and limiting expensive health insurance mandates are on the priority list for the current Missouri legislative session.
