Cape Girardeau, MO--The Encore Music Club recently selected their 2010 Apple Award recipient. The Apple Award goes to a local school music teacher in recognition of his or her hard work in promoting music education. This year's selection was Rebecca Gentry, music educator at Alma Schrader Elementary School in Cape Girardeau. Along with the Apple Award Plaque, Mrs. Gentry also received a $25 gift certificate. Janet Presson, Director of Keyboards & Kindermusik Conservatory and member of the Encore Music Club, presented the award to Mrs. Gentry.
